Atlanta producer Shawty Redd has officially been cleared of his murder charges.
According to MTV News, Shawty Red was cleared of the charges after a judge ruled that his life was threatened physically and verbally during an altercation with a man.
"The defense [in the trial] was clearly the self-defense...We argued that Redd's life was threatened both verbally and physically, and this occurred in his home, and that he shot this gentleman as a result of that."
Shawty Redd was originally charged with murder over a shooting, which took place during an argument inside of his Georgia residence. He was released on a $200,000 bond shortly after the incident.
Shawty Redd has worked with a handful of the industry's top artists, including Young Jeezy, Gucci mane, Snoop Dogg and more.
